The year 1246 is given as the church's official date of birth, but in fact its history goes back much further. It is history that has an important role in the choice of the location. Not only are we as students from Delft proud on the history, but what is more challenging for architects and engineers than an old church. A better precedent for architecture, engineering and showing ambitions is hard to find. This is exactly our theme, so why not have the symposium there where it was practiced first?
